Elo

Eloisa (Elo) Almaraz is a New York native who centered her career on advocacy and outreach. Combining her love for Anthropology and Sociology, she has dedicated her service to leadership development and social impact. In 2011, Elo jump-started her professional journey as a Trainer at the Posse Foundation - New York site supporting Scholars throughout their undergraduate journey, and in 2017, shifted her focus on expanding the nominating network and recruitment approach as the Program Director at the Posse Foundation Bay Area, an opportunity that brought her to California. With over 12 years of expertise in diversity and inclusion strategy, she looks forward to aiding companies and organizations toward engaging communities more equitably. Currently, Elo leverages The Pax Crew to steward groups and agencies to embody a decolonization-focused praxis. Outside of work, Elo partakes in gardening projects and holistic routines to ground and connect with nature.

A master facilitator, educator, and leadership development coach of 20+ years, affectionately known as Gabe, Gabriel is a dude from Brooklyn, NY. A leader among his peers since grade school, Gabe studied Music, Health Science, and Sociology at Brandeis University, then moved to Miami, FL to establish The Posse Foundation in 2009. He later joined the Posse NY team as Senior Trainer, supporting thousands of Scholars and Mentors at Posse’s eldest partner institutions for almost a decade before cofounding Pax in 2017. Today, Gabe designs programs and trainings out of Posse’s corporate office in NY. Centering principles of emergent strategy and human-centered design in his work, Gabriel values creative expression, curiosity for the unknown, and holistic wellness as tools for liberation. Outside of Pax and Posse, Gabe is a budding realtor and runs a music production crew with two high school band buddies.
